Less is More：Waste Less, Sustain More ― Shih Wei Navigation Joins the IMPA SAVE Global Plastic Reduction Initiative

As a member of the global shipping industry, Shih Wei Navigation recognizes that the ocean is far more than a vital route connecting international trade—it is also the cradle of countless marine species. 

Only by striking a balance between economic development and environmental stewardship, and by protecting the blue lifeline that sustains both global commerce and life itself, can the shipping industry truly navigate toward a sustainable future. On June 30, 2026, Shih Wei Navigation was officially recognized by the International Marine Purchasing Association (IMPA) as a member of the IMPA SAVE initiative, joining the global effort to reduce plastic waste.

Through this commitment, the Company pledges to continuously reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles across its fleet and take practical actions to minimize marine plastic pollution, contributing to the protection of our oceans. For Shih Wei Navigation, reducing the use of single-use plastic bottles has long been one of our key sustainability objectives and an integral part of our ESG commitment. To support this goal, we have completed the installation of mineral water filtration systems throughout our entire fleet. This initiative not only significantly improves the quality of drinking water on board but also reduces reliance on bottled water, helping to minimize waste at its source.

In addition, we have committed to IMPA SAVE to reduce plastic waste generated across our fleet by 1% annually. Through the initiative's annual monitoring and reporting mechanism, we will continuously review, evaluate, and strengthen our plastic reduction measures, ensuring that sustainability becomes embedded in our corporate culture rather than remaining a one-time campaign.
