More Than a Company Trip — Growing Together Through Teamwork and Sustainability

At the end of 2025, amid the chilling winter rain, the Shih Wei team together with their families, stepped into the Taoyuan Youth Adventure Camps with passion and enthusiasm. Through a series of challenging activities, we not only stretched our bodies and refreshed our minds, but also gained a deeper conviction in the importance of teamwork, mutual support, and trust. We believe this was far more than a routine company trip; it was an experiential learning journey that strengthened family bonds and deepened our understanding of the spirit of Shih Wei.

In the low-rope challenges, where participation was required of every colleague, communication proved to be the key to success. Every step demanded close coordination to maintain a shared rhythm. This process mirrors a company’s path toward sustainable development, where no one is a bystander. Every colleague plays an essential role in keeping the team moving forward steadily.

The high-rope challenges shifted the focus to collective adaptability and trust. Only through mutual trust could the challenger above concentrate fully on completing the course, while teammates below remained focused on belaying and ensuring safety. This clear division of responsibilities highlighted the fundamental value of trust—whether in families or within an organization, mutual trust among members is the cornerstone of lasting relationships. Meanwhile, the human foosball competition further demonstrated that healthy competition is a vital driver of team growth and progress.

In the self-belay challenge, participants were required to first overcome their inner fears and then choose different routes based on their own abilities and conditions. This experience reflects the diverse strengths and characteristics within our team. Only through mutual respect can we truly put into practice a corporate culture of diversity and inclusion.

Through this event filled with laughter and sweat, we came to understand that a team is a microcosm of an enterprise. When a company provides a stable environment, employees can care for their families without worry; when employees feel secure, they are able to perform at their best. The two are mutually reinforcing. Likewise, in the face of environmental risks, only through trust and collaboration can we continue to move forward on the path of sustainability. Looking ahead, we will carry the insights gained from this experience into every challenge we face in the future.
