The Cat Chefs’ Lunar New Year’s Eve Feast — Letting Love Begin at the Table

The Lunar New Year is a cherished traditional celebration that symbolizes family reunion and abundance. In this season filled with love and blessings, Shih Wei Navigation has joined paws with our feline friends to prepare the warmest and most meaningful Lunar New Year’s Eve feast.

For Shih Wei, expressing gratitude and extending our best wishes to our colleagues and business partners at the end of each year is more than a tradition. We also hope to share this goodwill with the wider community in ways that create a lasting and meaningful impact. Therefore, this year, we selected “Cat Bento Rice” and “Cat Bento Tea,” products introduced by the Puzzle Cat Animal Life Equality Promotion Association, as our festive gifts.

Inspired by the concept of charitable giving and built around a sustainable circular model, the Cat Bento series collaborates with local farmers committed to animal welfare. Rice and tea are cultivated using compost made from cat waste, creating a cycle of sustainability in which love and care are passed on. We firmly believe that every act of kindness and every thoughtful gesture in our daily lives is a way to put ESG principles into practice. Our respect for all living creatures, from whales and sea turtles in the ocean to stray cats and dogs on our streets, reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting respect for life and animal welfare.

We believe that the true essence of sustainability lies in consistent, long-term action. The positive impact of small, thoughtful choices can grow steadily over time and create lasting change. A Lunar New Year blessing may come in the form of an elegant gift box or a warm bowl of fragrant rice. What matters most is that, as we enjoy these simple pleasures, we also hope our blessings will draw greater attention to the lives that are still waiting for care and compassion.

Looking ahead, Shih Wei Navigation will continue to integrate ESG principles into our everyday practices. By starting with seemingly small choices, we hope that every action we take as a company can contribute to positive change in society.
