but through some pictures, I am able to let you clearly feel love.
For many years, Shih Wei Navigation has organized the “Little Picassos" painting contest for children from the After School Association of Taiwan. Among all the works, this piece created by a young artist from Qigu Base brought us an unexpected and deeply moving experience.
This young artist has special learning characteristics and is usually not good with words, yet she holds a profound affection for her family dog. Using the simplest materials available—tissue paper—she patiently pieced together, bit by bit, the most important companion in her heart. With the softest of materials, she transformed her emotions into a creation that is gentle, sincere, and full of warmth.
After completing the artwork, she initially asked whether the company would be willing to return the cherished piece to her. However, when we sincerely expressed our appreciation for her work and shared our hope of including it as a treasured page in our ESG report, she was so touched that she immediately said she wanted to give the painting to us.
In that moment, we deeply realized that being seen and affirmed is a source of strength for children; and for companies, it is an even greater responsibility.
Over the years, guided by our original aspiration to provide children with more diverse platforms for development, we have continued to hold these drawing competitions. This dog-themed artwork is not only a creative achievement, but also a symbol of our commitment to mutual goodwill and our long-term dedication to caring for the local community.
