內容

Taiwanese bulker owner Shih Wei has posted a profit rise of 110% in the first half of 2007.

It said net earnings were TWD 1.03bn ($31.16m) to 30 June, from TWD 491.31m in the same period last year.

Operating revenues declined to TWD 1.56bn, compared to TWD 1.62bn, but the company is always boosted by income from long-term equity investments.

In the second quarter of last year Shih Wei placed an order for a 29,800-dwt bulker at Japan’s Shikoku shipyard for delivery in 2009 and another 18,800-dwt unit at Yamanishi Zosen of Japan for delivery in 2010.
